Two paths. One shared vision.
Some collaborations begin with a business idea. Ours began almost two decades ago.
Sven Cichowicz and Sachin Virkar first met while studying at Stuttgart Media University. In 2007/08, Sven completed his professional internship with Sachin in Mumbai. What began as a connection between two people with a shared interest in visual storytelling eventually became the foundation for Velella Velella.
Today, Sachin leads a team of CGI artists and retouchers with extensive experience in digital image production. Sven brings his background in professional photography, focused on people and commercial campaigns, with a trained eye for light, composition and the details that make an image feel real.
Together, they combine technical expertise with photographic understanding to approach AI as a structured visual production discipline. For Sven, photography remains deeply rooted in the connection between people. AI doesn't replace that. It expands what can be created.

In 2026, Lisa Jöchler joined Velella Velella as Creative Director, bringing 16 years of experience in professional photography and entrepreneurship.
Her role is to translate photographic expertise into AI-driven visual production, from the initial concept and creative direction to the development of each brand character and the final image.
With a deep understanding of visual storytelling, people and brand aesthetics, Lisa ensures that technology serves the creative vision, not the other way around.
For her, it's about more than creating images. It's about building a visual world that feels intentional, coherent and true to the brand behind it.
